Hello,

I want to create a FB product feed from Hikashop in XML format. I see the thread here
www.hikashop.com/forum/integrations/900682-facebook-shop.html
and a hint to use Google Product feed plugin.
But my client already uses Google Product plugin for Google.
How can I have another configuration of the plugin for FB?

Thanks

Hi,

There is no mechanism to have different settings to generate several XML feeds. Note however that as long as you want the same products on Google and Facebook, then, you can use the same XML feed as it will be compatible with both Facebook and Google.

I've gotten facebook pixel to sync some products but not all, Facebook commerce now allows us to link to xml file but when adding url without login credentials it will not allow access going to attempt ftp account to xml file and see if that works

Manual XML Upload results in errors like id not found so rules have to be implemented in facebooks data sources area

iE. product_id = id or product_code = override

I'm still testing but here are some shoots.. I'm also about to test FTP connection after this.

I theorize that since ftp will require access to public_html/products.xml it would be best to move products.xml to its own indivdual folder in Google Merchants plugin setting so that we can set permissions for that directory in joomla correctly. As currently in the main public_html directory not only is it a security issue but it also isn't seen at all, and Facebook requires user credentials for ftp to your website.
