Order status for zero balance invoices

Hi

We have build a webshop where customers can place orders without making a payment. Every order is checked manually and when all the products are available the status is changed to confirmed. No online payments or invoices are needed.

We have a problem when the order balance is zero because some products are free. In this case the status automatically changes to 'confirmed'.

Can this be avoided? Every order should have the initial status 'created’.
