HikaShop Essential: 2.2.1
Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable
PHP v5.2.17
Chrome Version 29.0.1547.66 m (broken)
Internet Explorer 8 (works okay)

Hello,

It was reported to me today that when using Chrome, the "Add to Cart" button at the top of every product page only works if the mouse is over the second half of the button (Add To Cart) When the mouse is over the first half of the button (Add To Cart), the mouse icon doesn't change and the button does not operate.

Any ideas what is causing this? It works okay in internet explorer.

Hi,

It's the image div which is half over the add to cart button, so you have to use some css to move the button part more on the right.
Here is some documentation about layout customizing:

Thanks xavier,

That helped me "work around" the problem temporarily by simply reducing the size of my images. However, I've looked through the .css and it appears that somehow my images end up with roughly 22 extra pixels (11 per side) for the image div.

I can't seem to figure out why the CSS sheets add that extra padding around the image. Any thoughts?

It can come from a css property of your template, or the width of the div hikashop_product_left_part.
You can try to set a width of "48%" on the classes:
"hikashop_product_left_part" and "hikashop_product_right_part"
