can i have a product show up in category not 4sale

is there a way to add a product to an existing category and remove the price and add to cart option ?

i.e. an ad for a specialty product which requires the customer to call in for availability and options.

Hi,

A product can't have a specific price on a category.
You have to create two products, remove the price and set the quantity to 0.

i worded my question wrong.

i have a product i wish to display without a price and without the option to add to cart.

it is a specialty product which the customers have to call for pricing and availability.

is there a way to do this?

right now if i set the price to zero it displays as free ...

Hi,

You can edit the views "product / listing_img_title" and "product / show_default" to hide the price and the buttons if the current product_id is equal to the id of the desired product.

It require some php knowledge.
