-- Joomla version -- : 3.0 (latest version)
-- PHP version -- : 5

Can you please tell me more about the Dynamic Calender plugin: www.hikashop.com/component/hikashop/product/cid-19.html

1)Do I have to buy Hika Shop Essential/Business plus the plugin in order to use it? Or is it included in both versions of Hika Shop already?
2)Can the plugin be added to individual products (the shop I'm making is based on services), or only at the checkout and applied to everything in the basket like in your demo?
3)Can you please confirm which versions the Custom Fields (for gathering buyer info about products) is available?

Thanks,
Monica.

Hi,

About the dynamic calendar, I worked on a new version of the plugin which will be available with HikaShop 2.2.2
I will talk more about it after the release of HikaShop 2.2.2

The current version of the Dynamic calendar allow to create new kind of restriction while displaying the calendar.
The new version will use the jQuery datepicker with a lot of design/customization option (and still the restriction features in order to forbidden the selection of days or range dates).

The dynamic calendar create a new kind of custom field but it is the HikaShop version which allow you to create "address/user/order/product/item" custom field.
The comparison page gives more details about it: www.hikashop.com/extensions.html
So, depending on the table you want to create the custom field, a commercial version of HikaShop would be required.

Please don't hesitate to ask if you have more interrogation about the dynamic calendar or the new version of the plugin.

Hi Jerome,

Thanks for telling me about the new version of the Dynamic Calender. It is mainly the calender that I'm interested in but I'm on a bit of a time limit so can't wait for the new version in case it takes too long. Do you know when it might be released?

I am happy to hear that the current calender version creates a new kind of custom field. Is it possible in the current calender version for this custom field to be added to each product? I did not see an example of this on your demo website so just wanted to check with you to be sure.

Thanks,

Monica.

Hi,

We didn't installed the previous version of the dynamic calendar in our demo website but we will install the new version in the same time than the release.
The new version is already finished but it requires HikaShop 2.2.2 to work properly. We added new integration features which allow us to create this new dynamic calendar (which will be called "date picker").

The idea of the current version of the dynamic calendar is to add a new option for the date custom field.
You can ask for "future dates", "past dates" and with the dynamic calendar plugin : "dynamic exclusions".
You can have only one exclusion configuration in the current version. In the new version you won't be limited, the specific configuration will be stored in each date picker custom field.

We want to release HikaShop 2.2.2 before the end of the month. I think during the week end.

The current version makes an extends of the "date" custom field in HikaShop.
The next version will create a new "date picker" custom field.

But to attach a custom field to a product (I think you are talking about an "item", a product added in the cart), it requires HikaShop Business.
"Order" and "Item" custom fields are in HikaShop Business, when the "user" and "product" are in HikaShop essential (and Business too, for sure).
