-- url of the page with the problem -- : Development site not online yet
-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Starter 2.2.2, Joomla!™ Online Shop System
-- Joomla version -- : Joomla! 2.5.14 Stable
-- PHP version -- :5.3.27
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 25.0
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : No Error message

I have created a category listing module in a left side module. However, if I click one of the product categories, it shows the products BUT the category listing does not display and, in fact, the modules on the left are the same one displayed on the home page. If I click a product to display the product detail page, it still shows the incorrect modules and does not display the category listing module.

Help!

Hi,
I think that you'll probably fine some answer through this thread :

Joomla doesn't offer such options by default. You will need to install "Advanced Modules Manager" to be able to restrict a module to a specific page of HikaShop:

That is not a solution. Standard Joomla behavior is that if you are in an area that you reached from a link, such as 'Shop' or 'Store', and you click a link within an article that points to a article within that same category, then any modules displayed would remain. I see it working on the demo site!

If I click on the 'Shoes' category, demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...es&Itemid=78&lang=en , and then click on an item, such as the 'Red Shoes', it goes to demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...y_pathway=16&lang=en and the modules on the left stay the same. My site, it reverts to the modules form the home page.

How can I get this same functionality?

Hi,

You have to select a menu with the desired modules displayed in the option "Menu" of the HikaShop modules.

Xavier. That was already done! I also tried setting the Users and selecting all users. No luck.

Here is the link as I have put the site online so you can see the broken functionalty when you go to a product detail page.

It's probably because you didn't configure correctly the HikaShop options of your module.
You should edit the options of the module via the menu Display>Content modules and make sure that the "Synchronize with currently
displayed item when possible" option is turned off as it's the most likely cause of the problem. Otherwise, please provide a screenshot of all the options of the module so that we can see what you have setup.

Hi,

We need the left part of the HikaShop module options.
In the joomla options, the menu assignment was on all pages ?

Thanks to check the associated modules on the menu "shop".
If you still can't display the module on the product page, thanks to give us access via pm.

Look in your first screenshot, the synchronize with currently displayed item when possible option is turned on while I told you in my previous email that it should be turned off. Turn it off and it should help a lot already.

Turned it off. Cleared Joomla cache files and clear browser cache files. Did not help. :(

Then please provide a backend access to your website via our contact form and a link to the page with the module so that we can look at your settings ourselves. Please also provide a link to this thread in your message.
