How to change number of items in pagination

I have one menu that links to a categorie listing. When I click on a categorie I see the products from that categorie. Tha pagination is always on 5 items. But I want to change that to 15 or 20 items.
I have set the number of items in the associated categories and in other setting where I can find that parameter. But the items always stay on 5 on the frontend?

How and where can I change it?

You have to edit the options of that menu, and change the number of items to display. This will change the pagination number.
You can too edit the parameter of its associated module to change the pagination of the products in the categories.

I don't understand what is happening. I already did what you said, but without effect on the pagination.
I have a lot of disabled hikashop modules. Most of them have the name 'Associated products listing for category listing menu xxx'. And a lot of them have 'menu 193' at the end?
Is that the modules you mean? And why are there so much (OK I have 10 categorie menu's)? I have changed the parameters from some of these listing menu's to pagination article items = 15 and enabled them. But nothing chenged in the frontend.

As Xavier said, you'll have to find the content menu/module which is displaying this product listing and edit it through "Hikashop->Display->Content Menus/Modules", so that you can use the Number of items option.

Note that you'll be able to find the good content menu/module like it's explained through this thread :
