Different size in badges

Hello here is my problem:
In my Hikashop installation badges do not appear the same on all products. System generates thumbnails according to the setting we have for the product div(e.x. 100×100px) but also according to the aspect ratio of the original picture. So if a picture is 300x1000 it becomes 30x100 if it is 1000x300 it becomes 100× 30. This results in tons of folders of thumbnails and also differences in the badges. Badges in the narrower images become smaller than the ones in the wider images, isn't there some way to have a universal setting for all badges?
