I've searched the forums looking for answer to this problem. I've read the documentation and can't get it to work the way we need it to. I'm sure there is an easy way but I have tried and tried to set up the Prices and the Characteristics sections to configure correctly and can't get it to display properly.

Example: My client has multiple varieties of garlic and sells each of her varieties in 8 ounces for $11.50 and 1 pound for $20.50 (small discount for buying 1 pound of garlic). I set up two Prices on the product - one for $11.50 with a minimum quantity of 1 because it won't accept a .5 for 8 ounces. I also set up the 1 pound for $20.50 with minimum quantity of 1.

What I want is a dropdown showing 8 oz and 1lb where the customer can select the amount want and it reflects the corresponding price in the shopping cart. Then the customer can change the value in the quantity field if they want to order more than one pound.

What steps am I missing?

Is there an example somewhere I can see how I can set this up properly?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

You should first create one "pack" characteristic with the values "8 ounces" and "1 pound" in it via Products>Characteristics.
Once done, add it to your product. Then, click on the "manage variants" button and for each variant enter the corresponding price.
That's it.
