I have the multi vendor package and your docs don't seem to cover how to let a vendor upload his own products.
Can you send me a link to the 'how to' for my version of hika?

Hi,

You are talking about HikaMarket which is an HikaShop extension, so the documentation is in the HikaMarket part ;)

One thing that is really unclear in your docs, is how to link the category to the product so that it is made available for the vendor to work with. i.imgur.com/PBrPa6j.png i.imgur.com/UPLHVYP.png how to get to this screen -> www.hikashop.com/images/stories/hikamark...t_listing_module.jpg I assume is my final destination according to your docs.

FYI;
when creating a new module, I get this error which doesn't look good -> Notice: Undefined index: cid in /var/www/localhost/htdocs/site/administrator/components/com_hikashop/views/modules/tmpl/form.php on line 23

Hi,

HikaMarket have his own configuration panel.
When you are in HikaShop in the backend, you can see a menu named "HikaMarket" (just between "Display" and "Documentation").
In this menu you will find the HikaMarket pages (the configuration, the vendors, etc).

After that, when you edit a product in HikaShop, you will have a vendor selector (below "published").
It will open a popup to select a vendor. You first need to have a vendor to select so you have to be sure that you already create a vendor (in HikaMarket > Vendors).

I see the vendor publish and have it selected. It just never appears in the vendor backend i.imgur.com/HXvgqTp.png

I have the product in the category too -> i.imgur.com/3aiMGR4.png and my product module appears to be configured correctly -> i.imgur.com/5QnkKhJ.png

It's that 'next step to make the connect' that I am missing.
Shouldn't it just be module -> category -> product, and then just make sure you assign a vendor?
Wouldn't it then appear in the vendor control panel i.imgur.com/IsJHcG2.png ? Am I understanding this correctly?

Hi,

In the vendor backend ?

HikaMarket have his own dashboard. The last image is the HikaShop user panel, not the HikaMarket vendor panel.
You can create a menu for that HikaMarket menu, or you can call the url : index.php?option=com_hikamarket&ctrl=vendor&task=cpanel

And you will see this (you have to log-in as demo/demo to see the page)
demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...l&Itemid=844&lang=en

can you throw me one of those fancy cpanel type links for where the vendor will upload his own products?
I think I am confused a little my friend.
i.imgur.com/X5r1Ogj.png
I am 'expecting'/assuming/guessing that an additional category will magically appear here for "add new and manage your products" so the 'vendor' can do his job.
I am assuming I am a little off base. How do I get to the above stated example?

Hi,

As I said, you are in the HikaShop user control panel, not in the HikaMarket control panel.
So yes, you won't see the links to manage your products because you are not in the right place.

Please read my previous message en please read the tutorial for the creation of the "HikaMarket vendor panel" menu.

my testVendor is denied access to joomla/administrator/index.php
How is my vendor going to manage his products?
or do I upgrade his privileges and lock down joomla?

Hi,

Your vendors shouldn't access to the backend. HikaMarket only work in the front-end.
For sure, It is one of his main goals to propose an interface to manage your store though the front-end website.

Then you just contradicted yourself and now I am super confused.

How do I project vendor product management tools to the vendor? via 'his/hers' interface?

Hi,

1. Go in the demo website : demo.hikashop.com/
2. Use the menu : Other features > HikaMarket
3. login as "demo" "demo".
4. Watch the HikaShop Vendor control panel
5. Click on "products"
6. Manage your products from the front-end.

And you can do the same in your website.
1. Go in the joomla menu manager
2. create a new menu item of the type "hikamarket user control panel" in your main menu
3. That's it !

I never contradicted myself and no nerd talk necessary here.
