Header modules remain on product pages

Hello,

I searched for a solution but it is too complex to type.

Situation is this. When someone starts looking for products starting from my homepage (eg. selects a product from the hikashop side menu), I would like the promo header to disappear. At this stage, when I select a product, the header (slideshow) remains. This causes the page to be too busy and the navigation to be too jumpy. How do I remove this when browsing products?

In Joomla, I would normally just set the module to show on certain pages however I do not understand how to do this with hikashop.

Image one is what I currently have, image two is what I want to have when starting to browse products.

NOTE: what is the most strangest thing is that when I select baitcaster from my top mega menu, it looks like image 2. When I select from the homepage, left nav, it looks like image 1 - what is going on???

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Martin

Hi,

It's actually the same as "in Joomla". In the hikashop options of your products listing module, there is the "menu" option where you can tell HikaShop what will be the menu item when the user click on a link of the module. So simply make sure that your header module is configured to not display on the destination menu item selected in that option and that's it.

I'm sorry but I tried to follow your instructions but no luck.

Would you mind sending me a screen capture?

Also, I still have the issue when I select a menu from the top menu bar, it does not sync with the left hika menu. Is there an itemid i need to link together with? If yes, can you send a screen capture?

This is a big issue for me as it causes useability issues.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

See attached what I mean. I select was in the Species pages from the main header, when I select a product in the left hika nav, the header remains the same (species) when it should go to reel header. When going from one page/article to hikashop, it seems to not be able to understand where to go.

Hi,

The issue is with your left nav menu where you should select the main "department" menu item as target menu item (that will also fix the "itemid" of the URL from the other thread).
