I must apologize but I seem to have changed something in my display options inadvertently.

My products were displaying nicely, three across in nice clean boxes. Now they are displaying in a list view. How do I change this back to three products across the main area?

Hi,
You'll be able to do that by :
- Going to the page "Hikashop->Display->Content modules"
- Edit the content module which have the ID number 431
- Change the value of the "Type of layout" option.

Okay I will try that - but this is what I don't understand.

How does this make a difference when I don't even have that published? see attached.

Okay, so I changed the ID 431 (which is unpublished) to DIV, that fixed the display issue. What I don't understand is why this has anything to do with the primary product listing in the main body? When I turn ID 431 on, it displays the products in the left menu - in addition to keeping the products in the primary body. Something seems messed up with Hikashop. How can I have it unpublished, make the change, still unpublished, but corrects the issue.

Hi,
This module was the associated module of your category listing content menu which have the ID number 1070, reading the documentation will probably help you to understand :) :

A category listing menu is only displaying the categories by itself, so that's why there the "Associated modules" option. Once you display once your menu on your front end, you should get a products listing module generated automatically and added to that "Associated modules" option. That's this module which will display the products listing under the categories. So, you can personalize the listing of the products by going in the menu Display->Content modules and editing the module associated to the menu you created OR by just clicking on the link of the module in that "Associated modules" option. You will again see lots of options to configure your products listing the way you want it.

Okay, thanks for the explanation. I will give it a go.

Question. I feel like I have a bunch of modules etc that are unpublished and would like to clean everything up - eg. Start all over again.

However, I don't want all the products and associated data to dissappear. Can start over from the beginning, without losing my products and category data? Eg content, graphics

Thanks,

Martin

You sure can remove the modules and menus and that won't affect your data. Then, you can recreate them as per our content display tutorials:
