-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.droomvorm.nl/testbed/mvd8/
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.2.3
-- Joomla version -- : 3.2.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.2
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox 27

Because I ran into a strange issue at our current website ( www.melkvoordieren.nl ) that I couldn't resolve, eventually I had to decide to rebuild the site. I purchased the IT-Trendy Shop template, and the original issue has not resurfaced. So far so good!

However, I have a small problem with the mini cart. It worked fine up until today, and I'm sure I made a mistake somewhere, but I can't figure out the source of the problem.

If you go to the testsite ( www.droomvorm.nl/testbed/mvd8/ ) you'll see the mini-cart at the top-right. The syling is broken there. Then, if you place an item in the cart, it displays the mini-cart in the open state, with no way to close it again. Some parts of the mini cart are missing or invisible.

Is this a css problem? The only css changes I made today were to style the cart popup - I placed a css code in the head of component.php. However removing that does not solve the issue. I also changed the Hikashop cart view (trying to remove the tax from the shipping methods), but resetting the changes doesn't make any difference.

Any idea where to look for the problem?

Hi,

It seems to be a css issue or a javascript error which can cause this problem.
Regarding the Javascript error, do you have installed a new plugin / module / component recently ? If it is, thanks to unpublish it.

For the css, thanks to put back the changes, clear the cache and press Ctrl + F5 on your webpage.

No new plugins were installed recently. Where is the JS for the minicart loaded? Could I have damaged that file somehow?

Clearing the cache for the css doesn't help, sadly. I'm positive I've put back the changes, but I'll try to upload a version from two days ago to be sure.

You can see the Javascript error thanks to your browser console (F12).
I don't really know which modifications you made, but I don't think that you created a javascript error.

Using a backup could be a good solution.

That's... quite an extensive error.
