i noticed that the quantity button is missing previously it were above the add to cart button.

There was an "+" and "-" sign but now they're gone. I would like for individuals to increase and decrease the quantities prior to checkout page if possible

Note that you'll probably find your solution through that thread :

You can edit the file listing_img_title of the view product via the menu Display->Views and add the code:
$this->params->set('show_quantity_field', 1);
at the beginning after the first <?php tag.

That's weird why do i have to add code when previously it was already there?
