Image on productpage has strange border after last

Hello i have your bussines and after the last update i noticed something strange. The images on the productpage now have a small border on the left end the right site. If you go to this page:

You will see that there is a 2-3 px line of white on both sides. This is happening at all images now. I did check with firebug but somehow its not showing anything that makes sense to me. (the background is light grey so maybe its difficult to see.)

In your case, you have to change the settings in Configuration > Main > Images.
You have to change the settings of the option "Image scale mode".

Ok that indeed will make this line go away. However it will also change the way it looks all over the webshop. The products fall outside the lines. The sizes are getting bigger etc etc. So i did try to put it on no forced images size but that also gives different sizes in thumbnails. So i had to put it back to: Keep ratio. Now at least all the thumbnails look ok again but the withe line is still there. However i noticed something new.: The products that where uploaded before the update have these lines: See this link:

So i gues this has to do with some old memory? is there a way i can change this? Because changing it to crop is not working.

What can be done, is to remove all the thumbnail folders, by this way the images will be re-generated and will all have the same structure.

Yes i did delete all folders called thumbnail in file upload.. I did not delete the folder safe (empty) and all the images wich where just in this folder upload and not in a new thumbnail folder. However nothing changed. So i did delete one of these images that are in the file upload. and then there was no image showing in the webshop. So i uploaded it again and these whitelines are still showing.

So as far as i can see did i delete all images. The original and thumbnails and nothing changed. How is this possible? Is there some code that makes a differents between before and after update image? Or did i miss a folder?

Ok i did change the size of the image width and this somehow resolved the solution. I gues it has something to do with precentage. Lik 200 by 300 looks good 200 by 310 makes 5 px on each side white... Just to let you people know how i solved it.

Thanks to have shared your solution.
The border come from our resizing thumbnails system. To have the images like you want, you have to change the configuration, or upload the pre-made thumbnails via ftp. By this way they will be exactly as you want.

I can recommend softwares like XnConvert for mass images resizing.
