Display Badge On Product Outside of it's Category

We have some products that are "preowned" and they are listed in a "preowned" category.

When the user is viewing the "preowned" category it's obvious that everything is preowned but is there a way to add a "badge" on the item so that if users are viewing the item and it's not in the "preowned" category they know that it's preowned.

What I mean is if, for example, the user clicks on Brands and some of the items are preowned the ones that are preowned will show the badge but we don't want the badge on them when they are listed in the "preowned" category.
