Newbie Questions

Few basic questions, as I have only built one site..and am preparing to tackle another..and am hoping to find an easier solution for the e-commerce functions.

First site was made with a simple joomla template..I built each article individually, and simply used html code from paypal to integrate add to cart options, etc.

What im looking for is a decent theme where I can have multiple drop downs in articles where different product options can be selected before they are added to a cart.

For example, the company sells metal fabricated parts for offroad vehicles. One particular product may come in 3 different sizes (each size is a different price), and each size of teh item would have specific add ons, etc that will also affect price (something the paypal merchant function lacks).
