different category's with different table layouts

Hello,

I want to show different views for different categories.
I used this in VM and i could choose a layout for every category.

How can i add a extra table layout for different categories?

One category i want to add custom fields and in a other i do not want them.

I could find that i can customize the layout of the product page and table page.
But can i add a view?

And how can i add a layout for product page i can set at the category level.

Note that through Hikashop the type of layout is set per content menu/module, so the solution will probably be to create different content menu for your categories and set different values for the "Type of layout" option.

Yes i found that one.
But if i show multiple categories i have to link them to multiple menu items.

i now have 3 categories.
3d printing
3d scanner
3d fillamenten

And i have a menu with all those categories.
So if i show the module or the menu item list categories i want them to send to the menu item.

Or do i need to use something else than the menu items to show the categories so the linking wil work?

Hi,

In your case I think that you will have to use the option "Layout on product page" in the category edition page in backend.
That allow to have different product layouts depending on the category they are.

Then you can edit the selected views in order to adapt them as you want, with or without custom fields, etc.
