-- Joomla version -- : 2.5

Hi guys. We just upgraded to hikashop 2.3.0 and have gotten two calls in the last two days from customers who say their product of choice shows "no stock". We have plenty of stock and can not figure out what might be causing this.

Potential issues:
1. New hikashop verson
2. We switched servers last weekend (caching issue)
3. They may be using Internet Eexplorer

If it is #2, this is happening worldwide! We need to figure out the solution or people are going to see "no stock" and stop shopping without knowing it might be "clear your cache"

Please advise as to what you think might be the issue.

Many thanks.

Hi,

You can clear the Joomla cache thanks to the "System" menu.
Have these products variants ? It's maybe a problem with the variant stock.

Where in the Hikashop > System menu, do I clear the Joomla Cache?

Yes the variants have quantity in them.

I will try to clear the cache on system and circle back. Thanks.

I do see stock on the link you gave.
Did you found a product page without stock ? Did the product had stock ? Did its variants have stock ?

It could potentially be that you see a "limit reached" error when adding a product with options which have a price of 0 if you have the "display add to cart button for free products" turned off. Because before that check wasn't done properly on the options. In recent versions of HikaShop, we fixed that so that you can't add a free option if that option is turned off.

No the issue was on the product with the link provided and one other with product available, variants and cost (it was not free).

I believe the issue may be due to the server change we conducted last sunday. I have asked the hosting company to manually flush the cash on the component and see what happens.

Again, I am sorry that I can not create this issue on my end, so I could be more specific.

I will let you know if it happens again. Until then, consider it resolved.
