-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.midwestmeats.com.au
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.2
-- PHP version -- : 5.3
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : n/a
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

My site has been up for a few weeks now and while most pages have been indexed by Google, the products haven't.

My robots.txt file should allow this (I just discovered some menus include "component/hikashop" so I will have to fix them but there is another menu where the URL is correct and these have not been indexed either.

Can you please give me some tips.
Thanks
Brett

Hello Brett,
Using the Hikashop rich snippets plugin named "Hikashop Product Tag" will probably help you :).

Thanks Mohamed

Do you mean that you should add the Products to a Joomla article using the tags?

Does this mean that the product pages in HikaShop are not usually indexed by search engines?

Thanks
Brett

Hi,

No. Mohamed wanted to say that you just have to enable the HikaShop Microdata plugin which will add micro data to your product pages.

There are many ways to improve the SEO of your product pages.
First, make sure that you have the xmap extension installed and configured and that you installed our integration plugin for it:

Then, having meta description, keywords and canonical URLs setup in your products will help as well.

Hi Nicolas
OK thanks for that it makes it clearer now.

I'm using JSiteMap Pro with the Hikashop Plugin.

Will follow your other suggestions.

Thanks
Brett
