Hello,

I'm creating a Shop with products for different Sportteams. One of our goals is to sell teamwear.
Therefore I need to have the abbility to make multiple characteristic fields or at least the possibility to, for example group custom fields.

Let me give an example on how the shop should work:

We are offering a Teamwear Pack for a football team, with a total of 14 shirt, 14 shorts, 1 keepershirt and 15 Socks in the package.
Our clients should be able to choose each article inside the package depending on the characteristics/article as follows...

1. Select the color of the shirts and then select the quantity for each SIZE, (example: S=2, M=4, L= 7, XL=1) so the sum of all sizes becomes a total of 14
2. Select the color for the Shorts and also the quantity for each SIZE, (example: S=2, M=4, L= 7, XL=1) so the sum of all sizes becomes a total of 14
3. and so on...

After choosing all these different attributes per article there chould be offcourse ONE add to cart button wich gives the abbility to put the whole package in the Checkout...

Due to the matter that in some cases we need to give our cutombers meany possible SIZES it would also be interesting that we could display the inputs on a horizontal line, side by side.... for the characteristics I have allready found a sollution, but with the CUSTOMB FIELDS I still have'nt found a sollution.

Can anyone please tell me the propper way I should take to accomplish this?
What is the best sollution on this matter?

I hope it get's solved...

Thanks in advance
Dany

Hello Dany,
The best solution will probably be to :
- Create a product "shirt"
- Add a color characteristic to your "shirt" product

- Create size products like s/m/l/xl/xxl
- Add these products to your "shirt" product configuration page through the "Options" tab.

Hello Mohamed,

Thanks for the support, it has helped me allready a great stepp forward.. however I still have some questions...

As you can see on the attached image, people now can select the quantities per sizes, just the way I want. Now would it be possible to limit the total quantities to a maximum?
In the example image you will see that the sum of the sizes for the SHIRTS is a total of 14 pieces. When we count together the quantities of the SHORTS we become a total sum of 21 pieces... Our package has but a total of 14 pieces included for the SHORTS, so we have 7 pieces too much and that we need to prevent that... Is there a way that we can include this limitation? can you provide a sollution for this one?

Secondly I'm trying to use the Mass action to adjust multiple products at once. I have made a custom field to change the "Per piece" title into the "Per Package" Now when I use the Mass action i'm unable to fill in anything into the fields, Am I doing something wrong here? (look at the attachement for a screen view)

Thanks in advance for the help on this one...

Kind Regards,

Dany

I don't think that you'll be able to control the quantity of the options added by using variants, the only way will be to use the "quantity" input, or to use some custom code which will require some development skills.
