-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.7
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : chrome

I just want to show three different prices for the magazines for three zones on the product pages.
So, the customers can choose the price to buy.
Is that simple enough?

Hi,

The best will be to create a Characteristics and 3 variants for your different magazines.
Each variant could have his own price and the customer will be able to select the zone he wants (selecting the variant).

Like we did in our demo website, there :
demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...ow&Itemid=82&lang=en

Hi, Jerome

Thank you for your proposal. It seems OK. But I would like to show the 3 area , 3 prices, 3 "buy buttons" in a horizontal row.
It looks like:
___________________________________________________________
Products ABC magazines

IMAGE here

Product Details Here

____________________________________________________
Euro 100,00 USD 150.00 Yuan 200.00
European Countries American China & Asia
Purchase-button-A Purchase-button-B Purchase-button-C

1. Then, the customer needs not to care about shipping charges. It is included in the price already.
All the customer has to do is to press Button A, B or C. Simple enough.
2. I understand and try successfully to implement your method. i.e. Countries equals Color in your demo.
3. How to show USD and Yuan in dot for cents. Euro uses comma.

Thanks in advance.

I Must use table to show it

Euro 100.00USD 150.00Yuan 200.00
EuropeAmericaAsian
Button-AButton-BButton-C

====================

May be we can use radio button to select which area the customer chooses, then press Purchase button. That means three radio buttons and one purchase button.

Hi,

If you want to change the look of the variants, you have to configure it in the HikaShop configuration.
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...ig.html#main_product

Characteristics selection method : You can choose between three possibilities for the characteristics selector: 1/ a dropdown for each characteristic 2/ radio buttons for each characteristics 3/ a 2D table layout where you will have a characteristic options as rows and another as columns with one radio per possibility. Note that this third option only works with 2 characteristics per product. If a product does have a different number of characteristics, they will default to the dropdown display.

To change how a currency is displayed, you need to.. edit the currency.

Hi, Jerome

You have been a big help for me. Thank you so much. The currency problem is fixed completely.

I will try the options available for radio button, table and so on. Let me know later.

Questions:

1. I created the categories for some magazines, it looks ok. I noticed that I can not use 2014 ( number for category title) for the year 2104, 2013 and so. Is that true? How can I overcome this? In Excel, it may be like '2014 to denote is it a text, rather than a number.

2. When dealing with the creating a Hikashop Content Module on the left hand side of the template. The chrome on windows 7 ( PC Desktop version) can not show the year as category title. However, my Mac Book Pro shows beautifully.

3. The following showed the screen for Category Module setting.
========================================
Parameter for categories
Ordering field
category_ordering

Show sub categories
All sub categories

Number of sub categories

Link on main categories Inherit Yes No
Show the number of products Inherit Yes No
Only display categories with products Inherit Yes N
=================================================
I need to choose " All sub category ". It worked just well with the program. However, I need to configure that items with "collapsible category". How can I configure that?

I fix the Problem 3.

The solution is that :
(a). Select " All direct sub cat " in Show sub categories field.
(b). Input How many is your sub categories item -- Number of sub categories
(c). Select " Yes " on Link on main categories.
Use all of these combination, the categories item became collapsible and link to main categories.

Still need to answer Question 1. and 2.

Hi,

1. You can use a number for the category name, but in that case the "alias" field of the category needs to be filled with something which doesn't starts with a number.

2. Can you provide a link to the page so that we can look at the problem ?

1. I can not see the weight column in my product page, so how can I input the weight and dimension for my products. It seemed that it is such a simple task, but my timing is coming close. Pls help

2. I input two manual shipping methods for zone1 and zone2. And I need to choose "price per product" for both methods.
3. I can see the shipping prices in the product pages, and input the prices ( including the shipping charges ).
4. In Hong Kong the Post Office offers two zones prices for shipping. Zone 1 is for Far East Countries, whereas Zone 2 is the rest of the world. So I could easily input these shipping charges in the products, which are magazines.
5. I have configured the payment paypal, check and bank transfer. All works great.
6. I could not see them in the shipping section in checkout pages. This is the final task. Please help.
7. The site is advacne.noip.me/bart3/index.php
8. Example. The original price for a magazine is HKD 100

Shipping prices
Name Minimum quantity Price Fee Blocked Actions
Shipping for Zone 1 - HKD0.00
1 unit 130 0
Shipping for Zone 2 - HKD0.00
1 unit 150 0

Hi,

While editing a product, to enter a weight and some dimensions, you have to select "shippable goods" instead of "virtual goods" for the product type. It is a dropdown which show or hide these elements.

Otherwise, I don't understand the points 2, 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8, are they question ? Information ?
About the point 6 ; what is "them" ? What do you want to display ?
Please, explain you problem clearly and try to put in evidence your questions.
For the moment, I am completely lost.

Once I changed the visible goods to shippable goods, enter the weight of the magazine, the world is different.
1. The price of the magazine, e.g. Jewelry Review is HKD 100.00 (including local shipping charges.)
2. In Hong Kong the Post Office offers two zones prices for shipping.
(a). Local delivery is included in the price of the magazine.
(b). Zone 1 is for Far East Countries. Say to ship to Taiwan costs me USD 15.00
(c). Zone 2 is the rest of the world. Say to ship to USA costs me USD 25.00

3. I managed to setup Three Shipping Zones.
(a). Zone 3 for H.K.
(b). Zone 1 for Far East, e.g. Taiwan and Malaysia, and so on.
(c). Zone 2 for the rest of the World. e.g. United kingdom and USA, and so on.

4. I was able to setup three Shipping Method.
(a). Standard Shipping for H.K.
(b). Shipping for Zone 1
(c). Shipping for Zone 2
I use "use price per product" in the setting.

5. On the product pages, I was able to edit the shipping charges and minimum qty
But I can only enter HKD currency for the shipping charges.

6. On the checkout pages, I have input H.K. shipping address. Then I need to choose one of the three shipping methods as stated in (4).

7. Since I enter the address in the login and address pages, the shipping country is stated clearly in the address form. From the shipping country Hikashop should be able to filter the Shipping Methods. The Hikashop is able to select the shipping method according to my Zones as in (3).

8. I am thinking "Restrictions on Zones" on the Shipping Methods Pages. But I can only enter one restriction zone. Can I enter two restrictions zones? If it is possible, the problem will be clear.

9. I wish the Hikashop can determine the Shipping Charges from the shipping country from the shipping address. Please advise.

10. Since we have overseas customers from USA, they use USD. How to convert the HKD to USD when checkout in paypal in the payment pages ?

With some endurance , I finally use the " use price per product" and "Restrictions on Zones" , I am successfully setup HKD shipping charges per Shipping zones.

Two Questions left :
1. Since we have overseas customers from USA, they use USD. How to convert the HKD to USD when checkout in paypal in the payment pages ?

2. When I entered the shipping address upon checkout, it became the billing address too.
How to make billing address different with shipping address?

Hello,
Sorry for the late reply, if you still have these issues :
1. The solution will probably be to use an "HikaShop Currency Switcher Module" so hat your customers from USA will directly select the USD currency.

2. You'll just have to uncheck the "Use the same address as for.." through the "Address" step of your checkout workflow.
