Product options

Hi,

Like that there is no option in HikaShop.
But you can add some custom code in the view in order to find if the current showing product is an option for another product (and then, display a link to that product).
It requires some PHP/Development skills ; but it is possible thanks to the view override system.

After that, I will recommend you to use some options like the one to group the options with the product.
In the product page, you have a popup link to see the details of an option (the "i" image).
Like here :
demo.hikashop.com/index.php?option=com_h...ow&Itemid=91&lang=en

It is easier for the customer because he can see the product page of the option without going out from the main product.

You can have the popup too by changing the "after a product is added to the cart" option to "stay and display a notice popup" in the configuration of HikaShop on your website.

1. The (i) popup of the options can be set by entering the URL of the product option in the URL field of the product option. You can look at the product/options settings in the backend of the demo website if you're not sure how to configure them.

2. You can add a new value "please select" in the characteristic of your product and then add the unpublished variant to that product for that new value via the "manage variants" option of the product option edition screen.
