Hi,

Modules such as Recently Viewed and Newly Added Products are displayed twice, or not at all. How to switch on/off modules on individual pages without displaying them twice?

Kind regards, Eric

Hi again,

I now turned off the Joom Module for RECENT BEKEKEN, and the module on the bottom of the page has disappeared.. But the RECENT BEKEKEN module, part of the product, is still there. But as you can see the Recently Viewed of HikaSHop's configuration was turned off. I'm puzzeled!

So, while both the Joomla Module and HikaShop Product property are switched off the Recently Viewed module still appears. How is that possible?

Cheers, Eric

Hi,

You can edit the settings of the associated modules in the menu options in the HikaShop menu settings.
Changing the assignations should solve this problem.

Hi Xavier,

Sorry, but this doesn't work. Whatever I try the Recently Viewed remains part of the Product Display!

I'm getting a little afraid that Joomla & HikaShop are not so stable as I had hoped. If you pull a line something else is coming down. This is not funny anymore!

Kind regards, Eric

Hi,

That's because you have the module enabled in the "modules under the product page" option of the HikaShop configuration.

You just need to understand the logic in the system. A module instance enabled in the Joomla modules manager means that it will be displayed by the template in the position where you set the module regardless of whether it is enabled or not in HikaShop options. Likewise, in HikaShop "associated modules"/"modules under the product page" options of the configuration/content menus will allow you to display the modules in specific areas of HikaShop regardless of whether the module is enabled/disabled for the positions of the template.

Hi Nicolas,

Thanks! After a good night sleep, and lots of attempts yesterday, I think I understand id. It was a little confusing because normally you use Joomla to place modules. With HikaShop you may use the 'Associated modules'. This was confusing.

Have a good day!

Kind regards, Eric
