Hi,

The p is added because your product alias (or name if the alias is empty) starts with a number and because of that the system would display the product with the id 80 instead of the product with the alias/name 80cc-piston. Adding the p in there makes sure that this doesn't happen. So make sure that the alias doesn't start with a number and it will be ok.
An alternative would be to turn off the "remove products and categories ids from URLs" option of the HikaShop configuration. Then, you can have aliases starting with numbers as it is prefixed with the id of the product so that the system can display the product page regardless of what you put in the alias.

Hi Nicolas

I don't mind the "p" that is added by the SEF but 90% of my products are giving a "Product not found" message now because of this.
My question is this I know I can open each product and add p to the alias which fixes the problem, but is there any way I can add "p" to all aliases starting with a number simultaneously, also just a suggestion would it not be better if you had the system add this automatically once SEF is activated.

Thanks

Hi,

You have the product not found error potentially because you have enabled "Force canonical URLs on listings" option in Configuration > Features > SEF urls options, so you can potentially disable this option, or reset all the canonical urls thanks to the mass actions and then set the previous option to "Use canonical urls if specified and generate it if missing".

This way when browsing through your website, the canonical urls will be automatically generated.

Hi,

You can click on the "new" button of the System>Mass actions menu and create and process a mass action configured like this:
take.ms/wHjUJ
