Hi, trying to get the popup image of products to show full size, but although the thumb is small, the settings for product page image width seem only to affect the 'div' containing the image, not the image itself. What I am trying to achieve is a small thumbnail, medium product image and large popup image. Is this possible, and if so would appreciate advice on how to achieve this. Thanks!

Hello,
Note that you'll be able to manage the size of your product image through the 'Images' tab of the page "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Main".

Hi, actually tried lots of different settings on that menu- can you visit the site page
wedding-cakes-glasgow.co.uk/wedding-cake-online-shop and you will see the problem. I need detailed advice re the image size settings- you can see the settings I am currently using on the attached screen shot. Thanks!

I don't see the problem.
For example on this product:
wedding-cakes-glasgow.co.uk/wedding-cake...-cake-in-three-tiers
The listing image is small, the image on the product page is medium, and the image in the popup when you click on the image on the product page is big.
So it seems to meet your requirements unless I didn't understand what you wanted.

Hi, what I would like is a small thumbnail, medium product image and large (eg 800x1000 px) in the product pop-up image, getting the first 2 parts but the popup image is the same size as the product image. Hope that clarifies the problem.

Hi,

In your website, the thumbnails are 200x250, the product image are 400x500 and the full images are maximum 800x1000.
In the product page that Mohamed linked, the full image is 800x800, so HikaShop didn't touch the image to reduce his size (for the full image).
HikaShop can just reduce the image size, not the inverse.

If the image in the popup is not big enough, it means that the image you upload is not big enough.
(and please note that the popup system will try to display the image without going outside of the screen, so there will be a scaling made by your browser if your browser size is too small).

Hi, just checking and the image I uploaded is 800x1000 pixels. When I click the product image the pop-up window is the same size at the product image, so the settings for the image height and width do not appear to be having any effect at all... Do I need to delete and re-upload images if the hikashop image size values are changed? Or is there some other setting I am missing to control the popup image sizes? (Am also viewing the page on a full HD screen so that is not the issue.)

Hi, just deleted and re-uploaded a new image (still 800x1000 px) and now the popup does show the large image! So am I correct in thinking that if you change the settings on the hikashop image sizes to different values, you need to delete and re-upload your images? thanks.

Hi,

For the thumbnails, there are created in other folders, so no need to delete them : but for the main image, because it alter the image you just upload to limit his size ; if you change the configuration the images you previously upload will stay the same.
