Hi guys,

I have a problem with related products module not showing up on the product page, for any of the products.

I followed Hikashop documentation on how to set this up but it just doesn't work.

I also attached screenshots of hikashop config page , and hikashop module config page.

Please help!

Thanks,
Dushan

Hi,

As every Joomla modules, you have to assign it to the Joomla menus.
To have it on the product page, the module must be assigned to the menu used to reach that product page.

If you want the module only on product pages but not on listings, then you will need "advanced module manager".

Xavier,

Module is assigned to all Joomla menus but still doesn't work.

Also, what do you mean when you say "advanced module manager''?

Thanks,

Dushan

Hi,

If you change the kind of "content on product", does the module show up (like "in the same categories") ?
Does your problem right have related product in his configuration ?
In which position is your module ?

Jerome,

I'm sorry, but I don't understand what do you mean. Can you,please, re-phrase questions 1 and 2?

I didn't assign any position to the module.

Thanks,

Dushan

Hello Dushan,
Sorry for the late reply, to be sure, did you correctly followed each step of the documentation to make your related product display through your product page ?

How to display your related products below your products:
1. Create a new module of the type "HikaShop content module" via the joomla modules manager and leave it unpublished in the joomla options of the module.
2. In the HikaShop options of the module (there is a link to them on the right of the module's joomla options screen), make sure that the "Type of content" option is set to "product" and that the option "Content on product page" is set to "Related products".
3. In the configuration of HikaShop, click on the "Select" button of the "Modules under the product page" option. Set your related module to published and click on OK. Then, save the configuration.

Hi,

No, it doesn't. It will display the related products regardless.

I am having the same problem. Did anyone find a solution?

When inspecting the source, there is a line that says:
<div class="item item1" style="visibility: hidden;">

I'm sure that is not supposed to be hidden. What is causing that?

Also, when I do comment out that "hidden" in the inspector, the link for the product takes me to a bad link:
index.php/component/hikashop/product/209-ultimate-tote?Itemid=511

it should be:
index.php/bags/product/209-ultimate-tote

Hello,

Everything seems well configured, can you try to switch your template for Protostar, and see if you can see your Related module ?
If that solve your issue contact your template provider support.

Awaiting news from you.

Regards

It does seem like a template problem. I switched it to protostar as suggested and they show up fine.
I guess I'll reach out to them.
