We are just evaluating Hikashop and are struggling with a number of things.

We want to link images from our main store which uses joolmaworks slideshow and simple image gallery pro to the same / similar items in the store - I can add a link easy enough but the contents of that link are proving impossible to define. We don't necessarily want a site visitor to see prices etc etc unless they go to the 'store' - we are not primarily a store and much of what we do sell is 'unique' or made to order.

We also want to manage how currencies / prices are presented, this seems like a fairly simple thing but just how do I get the currency symbol to display but NOT the currency code - I have failed despite 2 days of messing around to find any 'menu' option to configure this. I don't want to see £ GPB or $ USD - I want to see only £ or $ only. I really didn't want to start hacking around in php code - this is way beyond the abilities of the girl who that I want to be managing all this.

I also want things properly 'internationalised' prices are showing with a , not a decimal point . this is not acceptable in UK / US etc etc. This needs to be based on the viewers country of origin and cannot be based on whether they are logged in or not. I can't find a menu option to configure this either.

Showing the currency code on the product listing is messy and looks horrid, not showing the price in the site visitors expected 'format' is also not acceptable, I will not force users to login before browsing, or seeing prices etc etc since I refuse to do this myself, any site that demands it goes straight into my block list.

I am NOT prepared to pay for a commercial version until it passes 'evaluation' so if a feature I need can't be evaluated then the 'evaluation' fails by default.

Hi,

1. I don't understand the link between the display of the price on the product page and the link going to that page in another extension in your explanation. So I'm not sure what to answer to that question. Could you provide more information on what you want to do exactly ? Maybe an example with a link to the corresponding pages you're talking about would help ?

2. The currencies can be configured under the menu System>Currencies in the HikaShop backend. There, you'll see a list of all the currencies and you can edit the ones you're using. You'll be able to configure how the prices format will be for each currency. You'll be able to use the "format" option to define if you want the international code to be used ( %i ) or the symbol ( %n ) and you'll also be able to define the decimal separator for each currency.
No heed to edit any code and it is not related with the user login or not.
