popups stretched on mobiles

Greetings,

Im having a problem with the popup image being stretched off the screen on mobiles. I tried switching from mootools to shadowbox, but that comes with its own problems (too slow to load, hidden behind the menu). I would like to disable the popup on mobiles altogether. Please advise.

Hi,

There is no option to do that.
Using shadowbox is a good idea. Regarding the fact that it can be hidden behind the menus, that's just a z-index issue with your template. It should be able to solve that with one or two lines of CSS:

The exact CSS will depend on the way the template is done.

This is a Wordpress link. Does the same apply for Joomla?

BTW, shadow box is too slow to load, and the picture in the shadowbox, when it finally loads, is smaller than the original. This does not add anything, but slows down the site. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

It's indeed a wordpress link but the problem there is that the shadowbox display below some pieces of the wordpress interface, and you have the same issue with the joomla interface of your template.
So the solution is roughly the same although the exact CSS to use will be different.

We don't have any alternative to mootools (joomla default library for popups) and shadowbox (that HikaShop specifically integrates with to offer an alternative to mootools).

We sorted out the z-index issue, however it still takes WAY too long to load, and freezes the site in the process. Is there no way to disable this?

You could detect if the user is on a mobile, and if it is so don't use the code for the popup in the view "product / show_block_img".
