Product options or characteristics in listing view

Hi Guys,

I have a product listing view pulling the image and title. I'd like to add in the characteristics/ options drop down select box in there - is it possible? For example:

IMAGE
Product Option (Small / Big)
TITLE
PRICE
Add to Cart

--- so that buyers dont have to go through the product page to set this option...

This is not possible by default, it require custom code.
It require good php knowledges.
