Hi,

"openBox" is a function defined by the "hikashop.js" file.
If your browser tells you that the function can't be read from undefined ; it means that the hikashop.js file is not included and this file is included by default by the HikaShop helper (so in every HikaShop backend pages)

Please provide more details about your issue.

Hello Jerome
I have created a new article in the online shop named "blabla" you can check with this article or you can create a new one.
You can click on every right sided button you found there is now way to create a new little window to change somthing.
delete with the button functions. But no way to "hinzufügen" no price no option no picture nothing. The Server is on the newest version
from joomla and application and plugins. The message cannot read property "openBox" comes from the provider all-inklusiv where the website is hosted. For my knowlegde I have created with a new template 3 weeks ago. The template comes from a german company named www.joomlaplates.de/ultimate before I had the template Allrounder from www.lernvid.com which has died theres no way to work with this side. So I have bought the new one from joomlaplates.
You can loggin to the side
But think it`s my liveside I will do at the moment a backup with akeeba .
kind regard
Hansjörg

Hi,

Did you modified the file "media/com_hikashop/js/hikashop.js" ?
Because you got a javascript error due to a weird formatting. It looks like the beginning of the file does not have carriage return anymore and the HikaShop headers are missing.

Good morning Jerome
Yesterday after I read your message I had a look into the directory media on my server
and I have found the following look to the picture I will send .
There are 2 files hikashop.js and hikashop.js-old in the same directory.
The second file "hikashop.js" has the time stamp from the update from your software,
so i am thinking it is right. the old file has the time stamp from october. I could not recognize
that i have something changed on the file.
What can I do now ?
A new installation over the old installation,
or
can i change the 2 files by renaming it.
this means mv hikashop.js to hikashop.js-new
and hikashop.js-old to hikashop.js

kind regards
Hansjörg

Hi,

The "old" file looks good ; I really don't know why your hikashop.js file has been modified.
For most safety, please use the official javascript file that you can find in the HikaShop package.

Hello Jerome

I have downloaded the hikashop this morning
Do you mean the hikashop.js file from directory media which I should copy to the server.

I have copied the file which I have described above but it didn't function.
If you click on the add button it shows nothing. the same as before.
Should the provider reboot the server or the homepage www.b-em.de ?

kind regards

Hi,

There is no need to reboot the server ; the javascript file is still in your local browser cache.
So you should clean your browser cache or use a ctrl+F5 in order to force the reload of the page and of all the ressources.
You can also open directly the js file in your browser and press F5 until you see the correct version.

:( Sorry it was my mistake with the error.
I have found the error i have done. It cames from google webmaster,
they mean you can save 1,1 kB of Javascript if you decrease this file.
So I have done it, and have lost the normal working java file.
I have written this for other users which have the same problem with google ans page speed inside.
I'm terribly sorry that I had to harass you

kind regards
