Characteristics Mandetory

Hi,

I am using Hika Shop business. I have products with Characteristics set like below"

Select Color:
Blue
Red
Green

However, I am noticing that customers are able to checkout without checking one of the selections. How do I make it mandatory?

Hello Charles,
You generally have a "default characteristic value" which will be automatically selected, so even if he forget to select his color characteristic the default value will be selected.

So no way to make them have to select one if I have Select Color as primary?

A solution can be to :
- Create a characteristic value named "select a value"
- Set the quantity of the variant of your product which have that characteristic value to 0
- Set that characteristic value as the default one for your product
Then your customers will HAVE to select another characteristic value to add that product to their cart.
