summarise description on product listing

Hello,
I am trying to get summary of the product description onto the product listing. I figured out how to get the description showing but is there away to only show the first few lines or so . Like a summary or snippet of the description.

Just ignore the post #184175 from "Tuscan Triangle" and do NOT edit original files... better use the proper override method.
