Problem with category grouping on product listing

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.4
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : IE

Hi

I have a problem with the product listing page. I need to display the products that are grouped by category

To explain a bit I have the following categories and sub-categories

Face
- Face Pack
- Face Wash

Body
- Soap
- Lotion

Each of the sub-categories have multiple products. On the product listing page following is displayed

Face Pack
All products of Face pack

Soap
All products of Soap

Face Wash
All products of Face wash

Lotion
All products of Lotion

However I need the display as the categories have been defined as

Face Pack
All products of Face pack

Face Wash
All products of Face wash

Soap
All products of Soap

Lotion
All products of Lotion

Can you please explain how this grouping can be achieved?

Hi,

It's simple. Edit your product listing menu via the menu Display>Content menus of HikaShop and set the "sub element filter" option to "group by category" and it will display like that.

Hi

The ordering of groups is not correct with this option enabled.

I want o show it as
1.1
1.2
2.1
2.2

However with this option enabled, it shows
1.1
2.1
1.2
2.2

Please advice

Hi

You can have a look at the beta site
www.sscpl-india.com/sscpl_main/index.php/products

I expect the categories as
Face Wash
Face Pack
Cream
...
...

However it shows
Face Wash
Luxury Soap
Shampoo & Conditioners
...
...

How can I achieve the categories as they have been shown in the right categories module

Hi,

First, make sure that the categories are ordered properly (order column of the categories listing).
Second, try to click on the "rebuild" button of the categories listing.
If that doesn't help, it might be something that we fixed since your version so try to update HikaShop.
And if that doesn't help, we would need to have a closer look at how your products and categories are configured in order to understand why it doesn't work.

Hi

I have tried all the 3 things suggested. I have also updated to HikaShop version 2.3.5. But the problem is still not solved.

Please suggest.

Please replace the file components/com_hikashop/views/product/view.html.php with the one in the archive below and it should fix the issue.
