Characteristics default value

Hi

1-if i have a product with some Characteristics . how i can chose witch is default value. for example a shirt have 4 color , black , blue , red and green. i want red be default when a visitor visit page . !?

2- why when i add a product with Characteristics , add to wishlist button vanish in category layout ?

3- i dont find how to add product option for each product ?

Hi,

1. Edit your product and look at the characteristics listing area. You'll see a "default" column where you can select the default value for each characteristic that you added to the product.

2. Because the characteristic dropdowns cannot be used on listings (it would require to load all the variants data for each product of the listing with characteristics and that's too much data and the page would crash)

hi

item 2 : can when user click on the wish or add to cart the default characteristic that I chose , add to cart or wish list ? i need some changes i think , no nessery to show characteristic , only default value add . and also i dont need more details button . can you give me some code ?

item 3 : i dont mean option , i dont know what it call , for example if product is tablet i write camera is 2MP , sound is DTS and ....
it is not in product description , it is some kind of details that user can compare these things . i am sure hikashop have this ability but i dont know what it call here and how to add.

HI,

2. Instead of the 'add to cart' button, you should get automatically a "choose option" button instead on your products listings. That button will link to the product page where the user can select the characteristics and add the product to the cart.
That's by default so there is no code modification to do for that.

3. Ah, you mean specifications of the products. You can create custom fields of the table "product" in order to do that:
