different picture with other Characteristics

I like to have a differnet picture of the product when i choose an Characteristics
By example
- when i choose a red one, I liek to show the red product
- or better showing no dropdown of Characteristics
but showing thubmnial images

oke this is a workaround, but I like to change the product image..
No you can choose a color red, but i like to have an option to have an image of the red shoes..

The title "Link icons and pictures" speaks for itself: you'll be able to change the product image, obviously.

This works..It is not the most easy and common way but it can be done..
