-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Starter: 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.24
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 39.0.2171.99
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Notice: Undefined property: stdClass::$media in /home/content/84/9465284/html/libraries/expose/core/processor.php on line 272

I have purchased and downloaded and installed a STYLES PACK (RED)
I followed the instructions for installation, and for choosing the proper style in the Configuration.
AND I have addd the style to the menu item that goes to the Hika store.

STILL NO STYLING !

I don't understand why it's so complicated to change the product listings appearance.
It seems overly complex for a fee-paid add-on.

We will be purchasing the Business level Hika software ... IF we can get styling (and payment methods) to work.

PLEASE HELP ?

Thanks
Kent

Hi,

I checked your website and I can see that you have some CSS compression system in your template. It's probably what's preventing you from seeing the style as your template is stripping out all the CSS of the website and using previously cached CSS.
So make sure that you turn that off in your template and it should help you seeing the style applied on your website.

Note that the notice message that you put in your message also comes from your template.

You're talking about payment methods not working but didn't provided any information on what is your problem so I can't say much. If you don't see your payment methods on your checkout, I would recommend to check the "I don't see any payment methods during the checkout, or I don't see some of them, what is the problem ?" section of our FAQ first:

Nicolas,
Thanks very much for this rapid and meaningful reply !
Your suggestion worked, so let me clarify the method:

We are using the template/framework called Expose 4.
The template parameters, Advanced tab, has settings for :
- jQuery loader
- Combine CSS
- Minify CSS
- Combine JS
- Minify JS

The Combine CSS was the only one enabled.
I disabled it, and flushed the server cache and flushed the browser cache,
and the Red Style Pack appeared !

Please see the site now:
b17texasraiders.org/index.php/gift-shop

There is still a lot of work to do, but it's showing up now!
SO thanks very much.

Unfortunately, turning OFF the Combine CSS parameter breaks the footer on this template.
Please scroll down and look at the mess that my footer has become with Combine CSS turned off.

Do you think there is any way to get them to work together ?

Any help is greatly appreciated !

Regards,
Kent

Hi,

You should be able to have that option on and the style applied. It's probably just a matter of clearing the caching of the combination done by the template. The best would be to ask your template provider how to clear that cache.

So far I have been unable to find a solution to this.
I will simply remove the Style Pack CSS and live without it.
I cannot ask for a refund for the Style Pack, since this is probably related to the template CSS handling, and not to your Style Pack code.
It will simply be a $45.00 lesson that, as great as Joomla is, some things just do not work together as they should.

Thanks anyway.

Hi,

It could be useful if you can have information from your template provider above the CSS features.
Because if the cache of the template does not allow you to modify the HikaShop CSS ; it will be a shame for the customization.
You can also check if you can edit the CSS of your template ; so you can maybe add the content of the "Red style" CSS file.
So, even if the CSS won't be loaded in the classical way, you might include it though your template.

Dear Jerome,
Thanks very much for this additional response.
I am using a "framework" called Expose' 4, which is perfect for what this client wanted for the site.
It's not exactly a "template" supported by a template author, so much as it is a template building framework.

It does have an override and a color scheme selection mechanism built in, and also the CSS and Javascript "compression" options.

When I read your message, I realized that I should try adding the Red Style CSS to the color selection CSS file that I'm using for the template.

When I added the entire Red Style CSS file, the footer was sitll badly broken.
BUT when I removed the entire Footer section of the Red Style CSS, it looks OK now.

The current status is that the "Combine CSS" parameter is still ON, and the Red Style CSS is in the /media/com_hikashop/css AND it's also in the color selector CSS file for the template.

I'm thinking about experimenting with moving it all over into an override file, so that all of these CSS mods are in one place.

THANK YOU for your response, it stimulated me to get this working.

Please see the HikaSHop working with the Red Style on the site at:
