user need to login to download

-- Joomla version -- : 2.5

hello
I want to force visitors to register or login to my site to access downloading products catalogs.
catalogs are free and not to need buy.
How can i do this?

How about using a download extension for Joomla like PhocaDownload or Docman ?

Hi nicolas
I have more than 1500 products in my website. Using another download extension and update all product catalog with it takes a lot of time.
You mean that there is no any access option for hikashop downloads?
Is there any way to change .htaccess in media/com_hikashop/upload/safe ?

Hi,

In HikaShop, the final files are not available directly ; they all pass through HikaShop download system.

So, you could use a custom plugin with the trigger "onBeforeDownloadFile" to refuse/cancel the download when the user is not logged:
