Product Images Not Resizing for Phone and Tabs

Hi,

I am using Joomla 3.3.6 with current Hikashop Business updated. My issue is that when my site is being viewed on smaller items like phones and tablets, my images do not resize and get all bunched up.

What is the solution to get the images to resize for these smaller devices?

Hi,

The best will be to use a responsive template (compatible with bootstrap 2) in order to use the HikaShop bootstrap design.
So it will provide some special CSS rules to change the size of the images so they will feet correctly in the phone/tab screen.

Hi,

You should have this property in the frontend_default.css file from the menu Configuration > Display > CSS:

.thumbnail div.hikashop_product_image_subdiv {
	width:100% !important;
}
This allow to have an image in percent, so the image should be resized unless there is another property overriding this one or if you are not using this css file.

Please do some checks thanks to your browser console, here is some documentation for that.

Yep I have it set just like that but just not resizing. The rest of my template is responsive to the phone size, just the shop is not.

Also the Carousel slide never shrinks or reduces to single column for phone. It instead stays wide and full sized while everything else changes.

Hi,

If your template is responsive and compatible with Bootstrap 2, you can use the bootstrap design in HikaShop.

HikaShop backend -> System -> Configuration -> tab Display -> General display options -> set option "Use bootstrap design" to "Yes".

Unless something has changed during the most recent past, the HikaShop Carousel is not responsive. It would take some "tricks" or another extension to get a (quasi) responsive carousel effect.
