Hi

I'm having problem with showing the subcategories products, when I click on them in the Hikashop content module.

When I click on the main category, in the content module, and click a subcategory in the content area, the products are getting shown without any problem. Also with a better url.

The other problem is double content, and two different urls to the same category and product.

When I click Læderarbejdshandsker in the subcategory, in the content module, the url looks like this:

handske.webskraedderen.dk/index.php/comp...shandsker?Itemid=788

And nothing is getting shown, but a blank page.

When I click the main category Arbejdshandsker in the content module on the left, and then in the content area click on Læderarbejdshandsker I get this url:

handske.webskraedderen.dk/index.php/kate...aederarbejdshandsker

And the product in the category is getting shown just fine.

What seems to be the problem here? And what can I do to correct it. Its not good with double urls to the same product, not good for SEO.

I know that there is a canonical feature tried it on the category level, but it did not work. And why is component/hikashop in the url. Many questions to be answered, but I hope anyone can help.

Best regards
Ivan

Hi,

component/hikashop is in the URL because the menu item that you configured in the "menu" option of your module (that you can edit via the menu Display>Content modules) is set to the menu item with the id 788 which either doesn't exist or is not a HikaShop categories listing menu item. Because of that, the Joomla SEF system cannot replace component/hikashop by the alias of the menu item. That's also why the link doesn't work.
Setting the "Force canonical URLs on listings" option to "Use canonical URL and generate it if missing" in the HikaShop and then making sure that the correct URL is set in the "canonical URL" option of your categories/products will solve your problems.
