Can we remove product ID number from the URLs?

-- url of the page with the problem -- : apf.cloudaccess.net/dvd/media-on-the-bra...1-media-on-the-brain
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.5 Essential
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.6
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.29
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : no error message

I am wondering if we can remove the product ID numbers from the URLs. It would look like nicer urls to me. Please let me know if this is possible? And, it is a good or a bad idea?

Here is a sample URL:
apf.cloudaccess.net/dvd/media-on-the-bra...1-media-on-the-brain

Is it the 151- in front of the product name that I would like to not have.
