-- url of the page with the problem -- : www.1mediagateway.net/index.php/store/hi...id-tv-box-programmed
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.5
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.37
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome 40.0.2214.115, Explorer 11.0.16

The website is currently hidden so I attached a screenshot to show the problem. There are only two images uploaded to the product. The top image is showing twice. I assume there is supposed to be one large image with smaller images under it that can then be selected/enlarged, but that is not the case. We have been through all of the config settings and have been unable to find a solution. We need to be able to display multiple images properly. Please help.

Hi,

Please change the image sizes in Configuration > Main > Images.
If you are using a template, check if there is no properties overridden by it, properties which could force an image size.

We have already played with the size function. This does nothing to help with the double images that are occurring.

In the screen shot I shared, you will see one image appears twice. BUT in the back end this image is only applied once.

Like I said, I assumed the one picture is appearing twice because it is supposed to be a thumbnail image under or next to the main image. The size customization effects ALL of the photos, not the ones that are supposed to be the smaller pictures that you select from. I attached a sample of how it should be appearing in Hika (based off this assumption) that I made in photo shop. How do I make the product page images like this so that the smaller pictures can then be clicked/expanded? Just like any product on amazon that has multiple images like this: smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FWYESVQ/r...7562&pf_rd_i=desktop

If your platform is incapable of properly showing multiple pictures tastefully (was unable to find anything on your demo site) then we will have to ask for a refund and go with another product.

Not sure how you could miss this - but then these things happen:
In the demo site in the main menu, -> HikaShop -> Product page -> with multiple images (or directly by clicking demo.hikashop.com/index.php/en/hikashop/...with-multiple-images ), indeed you see what's close to how HikaShop is dealing with multiple images 'out of the box', meaning if you e.g. use it with the default CSS, and provided your template does not do 'its own thing'.

You could verify this by making sure Bootstrap and the default CSS are selected in HikaShop's system main configuration, then switching your template to Protostar and looking up a product page with multiple images.

You see, if it doesn't work for you presently and/or in your template, it can be due to a slight misconfiguration, or due to style settings by your template overriding whatever HikaShop has on board.

However, and in general, one could always argue if what comes out of any box is "tasteful" or not, but beauty is relative... only, a website can be adjusted and changed to almost anything you want in terms of layout and style - only limited by the frontend designer's capabilities. So, it's far too early to give up! And here are some good hints on how to tackle the task of style and layout customisation: www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...ize-the-display.html

More exact analysis of what you're having in your site now and where a possible culprit lies is only possible if you're site is visible, unfortunately.

P.S.:

I see you're using a Themexpert template. Please note that this template provider is using his very own custom grid system, based on classes which are "off-standard" and not the same as e.g. Bootstrap 2.x.

It does not make such template better or worse, but with this and potentially other unique features built into this template it's hard to predict how any extension will appear, HikaShop just like any other. More or less customisation might be necessary - and for a start you may want to try toggle Bootstrap on/off and try all of the three CSS choices that HikaShop offers (default/old/none) to see what things look like - not only the images on the product pages.

Be sure that as much help as possible is provided here (you can tell from other threads here) as far as relevant for HikaShop - though, of course, extensive frontend design is impossible via any forum.

Hi,

I don't understand your message.
If you upload a big enough image (and you do not restrict the "image width" and "image height" (cf configuration), you will be able to have a lighbox.
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...fig.html#main_images

As you can see in our demo website.
demo.hikashop.com/index.php/fr/hikashop/...with-multiple-images
If you click on the main image (or in a thumbnail), you will open the lightbox gallery.
The main image size is defined by the setting "product image width/height" in the configuration, the other thumbnails size are set by CSS.

Otherwise, the lightbox can be configure in the HikaShop configuration (Display > General), you can use "mootools" or you can use "shadowbox" (in external mode it will be easier).
