I'm having trouble finding out how to make a 'sale price' on a product.

Example:
A bike with a price on 1000$
New price: 500$ (Must be shown like this-iisssh frontend)

Isn't it possible to do it right on the specific productpage in the backend? Right now i can't see the logic in having a small field called "retail price" and a huge field called "price" - which in some way will generate a before/after price.

A "offer/sales" field on the product page, where an offer can be determined either with a fixed price or percentage would be optimally.

Hello,
Note that you can also create a product custom field via "Hikashop->Display->Custom fields", that you can set through your product configuration page, and that will be displayed through your product page.

Hello Mohamed. Thanks for the reply.
Are there no problems with this when I need to pull data from custom fields to the shoppingcart?

Hi,

With a custom field you can enter the text you want so you could have the original price displayed with it on the product page.
That wouldn't be the solution I would recommend but why not.

The retail price field allows you to do something similar.

Usually the way you do that is by creating a discount via the menu Orders>Discounts and restrict it to the product (or a bunch of products or categories). In the discount you can set a percentage and the system will calculate the new price automatically, use it and display it on the product page. Note that this requires either the Essential edition or the Business edition of HikaShop.
