-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.0
-- PHP version -- : 5.4
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : 36.0.1

When i go into my category and see the products is states the example domainexample.com/hikashop-menu-for-module-184/category/category-name

Where it states hikashop-menu-for-module-184 how can I get this to be more SEO friendly. I change the name for it in Hikashop but it doesn't change in the URL.

Thanks.

Hello,

You might try to consider installing artio or sh404sef for friendly urls.
It might take a couple of days to configure it if you are new on it, but will be worth it.

Good luck

The rest of the webpages so far seem to be nice and short. It just when I go to the category it has domainexample.com/hikashop-menu-for-module-184/category/category-name. It's alomost like hikashop-menu-for-module-184 needs to be omitted and set to domainexample.com/category/category-name.

So you can't just resolve this with Hikashop and Joomla?

nope, try sh404sef or artio and you can "easily" configurate your urls.

Is easier by this components, than entering into htaccess and .sql

artio is free and sh404 not free. up to you which one to choose:

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extensi...nagement/sef/joomsef

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extensi...agement/sef/sh404sef

maybe this little plugin would help you, but i did not try it.

extensions.joomla.org/extensions/extensi...ent/sef/direct-alias

remember to copy and backup sql and everything before tyiting this sef urls.

good luck

Hi,

That is the alias of your menu item and you can change it in the Joomla menu manager when you edit the menu item there.

If you don't see the changes when you set something else in the alias via the Joomla menu manager, it means that you have some caching on your website preventing you from seeing the change.
