-- HikaShop version -- : 2.3.2
-- Joomla version -- : 3.3.0
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : 404 Error Page

Hi there,
Our website is build up in 2 languages, we use FaLang as translation plugin. The german site works without issues after changing the language to english (just replace, en to de in the url) the hikashop module links don't work anymore, we get always a 404 Error page.
By disabling SEF Url in Joomla configuration it works without problem. I am wondering the error occurs only on the english site.
Can you help me?

Hi,

First of all, please update to the latest version, the 2.3.4.

What are your settings for the canonical urls ? Please try to remove all the canonical informations for one product and see if that is working this way.

Else it can potentially be an issue with your menu assignations in the different languages, so more a Joomla issue than a HikaShop one.

Hi,
I have upgraded to version 2.3.4. We don't have canonical urls.
What do you mean with:

Else it can potentially be an issue with your menu assignations in the different languages, so more a Joomla issue than a HikaShop one.

We have only FaLang in use, of course 2 languages are activated (en/de) in joomla backend, but nothing else.
Actually the problematic menu is created with hikashop not with joomla native menu function.

Oha, we have removed the english alias for product/category in FaLang, now it works
Then we would remove the alias in Hikashop as well but we can't remove the alias name (delete name and save the product/category is not working the alias is still there) What is that?

Hi,

It should be possible to remove the alias.
Now, if you want to remove the alias of all the products easily, I would recommend to create a mass action with an action "update the values" on the "product_alias" column with the value field empty and process the mass action and that will clear the alias of all the products at once.
You can create mass actions via the menu System>Mass actions.
