Hi there,
i have some products and Hikashop content modules published on my home page and by clicking on any of them, it shows the product details on the home page below the slider module. I don't want it to be like this, how can i avoid showing slider module above any item of my products?
any recommendation would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Go in the menu Display>content modules and edit your HikaShop products listing module. There, in the "menu" option select a category listing menu item. Then, click on the "joomla module options" button and in the "menu assignment" option of your module, make sure that the menu item that you selected in the "menu" option is not checked.

Dear Nicolas,
thank you for your reply but my problem is a bit different. when i click on any published product on my homepage , it shows the product details below the Slider and latest products modules. because of the fact that Hikashop products are not menus or modules it seems that there is no way to control what is going to show up on a product page view.
in my case when i click on a product in homepage the site URL turns to : www.mydomain.com/product/item name
and this cause the item showing up below the homepage (slider and latest products module) but when i enter to the same product from the main menu, the URL is: www.mydomain.com/products/product/item name. (this is because of it enters to a menu with alias "products" and everything there is fine, thanks to the module assignment ability of for the menus)
hope you can help me to solve the problem.

Hi,

The solution I gave is what you want to use.
In the slider and latest products modules make sure that you select that "products" menu item in the "menu" option of these modules and you will get the same links generated by the modules of the frontpage as if you were accessing them via the main menu item.

This is a bit of an older thread, but I'm having the same issue.

Has hikashop changed a little? I can't seem to follow your directions at all.

Go in the menu Display>content modules and edit your HikaShop products listing module. There, in the "menu" option select a category listing menu item. Then, click on the "joomla module options" button and in the "menu assignment" option of your module, make sure that the menu item that you selected in the "menu" option is not checked.

This makes no sense to me. Display where?
in hikashop? Hikashop display menu has no content modules in it. It's the view and custom view area.

I have the slider module assigned only to the home page, but the problem is when I click a product off the home page it keeps the menu at the home page.

Hi,

Menu and Module edition has changed in HikaShop 2.6.0 when using Joomla 3.
The setting are, in that specific case, merged with the Joomla menu/module settings.
