Restrict option based on characteristic.

I am trying to use hikashop to sell table for VIP club events however ideally there needs to be some connection between the selection on the characteristic and then if we can show options.

For example here: thelostgarden.co.uk/new/index.php/hikash...oduct/1-sat-02-05-15
I want people to select a table, if they do then it costs £500. If they select guestlist then it is free. (fine). However i do not want them to be able to see the drink options if they select guestlist. This should only be option they can see if they select a table. Does that make sense and is that possible?

Just to add to that i had that working well by setting both to characteristics, however it meant that the stock didnt apply to tables any longer because someone could buy table 1 with drinks package 1, then someone else could buy table 1 with drinks package 2. This means that they would be able to double book the table. Ideally tables would have a stock of 1 per event. drinks packages are unlimited but can only be selected if a table is something that is being bought. I am not sure if hikashop is able to do this so any insight would be great thank you.

Thank you for that, i did check to see if an option could be assigned to a product variant, but i notice this is not something you can assign to a product variant, it might be a nice feature to the future allowing a person to give options based on the characteristic as some options are only compatible with certain choices and not others.
