Dear Members,

in the Link i provided you can see a Top Menu which is working!
DO NOT TAB ON START since you wont find back easy (testing purposes!)

When you click on the stuff below: RELATED PRODUCTS you can see the Top Menu is gone but some sidemenus are visible there.

Is someone out there able to tell me some pointers where i can look for the right click to bring back the Top Navigation in the RELATED PRODUCTS?

For reproduction:
go to the link
click a "product"
scroll down and click another Product from "Related Products"
=> Top Navigation is gone

I dont know where i have to look for the right settings here.

I can provide screens in the further Comments for you guys.

Regards and thanks

But other Menus are missing.
I like to have all Menus etc exactly like displayed in the BROWSE Tab of the Top Navigation.

But i loose some and other show up, i am totally lost.

Can someone point me in a better direction here?

Hi,

The issue is with the configuration of your related products module.
Go in the menu Display>Content modules and edit it.
There, you'll see a "menu" option which is currently set to the menu item with the id 221.
Instead, you want to select your 'shop' menu item.
That should then generate proper links.

Thanx-now i got it working like its ok for me.

NOW the last part is in this link:
filamentstore.rotbart-design.de/index.ph...egory/free-downloads

When i click it from:
Browse=>left menu => free downloads
all is displayed like i like it but the products are missing.

Product has categorys:
free downloads(for the section)
downloads(to be visible for Browsing with all others)

what needs to be set to get the free single categorys displayed here?

Do you need more infos or a screen?

Hello,
The solution will be to directly edit the content module which have the ID number 130 via "Hikashop->Display->Content modules", and set the "Menu" option to one of your "Category listing" content menu.

Hi,

The issue comes from the menu item that you selected in the "menu" setting of your "Downloads" module.
You selected a menu item of the type "products listing".
Only categories listing type menu items should be selected in old versions of HikaShop like the one you have.
On recent versions, both products and categories listing menu items can be selected.

NEW EDIT:
I deleted all the products, and did one new for the Testing here.

I put it in all the categories to test the display fully

When i click the product no detail Page is displayed (screwed it up, was there before, did not figure out to bring them back)
I want to display a basic details page (default) with the cart button and the details of the placeholder.

What do i need to take care off to get my one and only product displayed with cart button?

i really stuck and cant get this to work
I dont feel Hikashop easy and flexible, its a total pain setting tons of menus and moduls and stuff to display things.
Maybe its a bit of a frustration right now but i really would be happy if the support would have some answer.

thank you for any help you can provide

After i upgraded the shop to the actual version the menu on the right works and connects to my desired categories.

I added some more categories now but the free download stuff wont display anymore (productpage with Cart button

PRO Product Links work, free wont.

What did i miss to display them like the pro ones?

here the examples in a link:

here is an example for the free stuff.

Where do i need to check for the display?
I changed some row and size and now all free wont display standard product page-
thanx for helping

Superadmin could be provided to admins here.

regards

Hi,

Make sure that you turn off the "force canonical URLs on listings" setting of the HikaShop configuration and that you activate the "activate smaller URLs" setting in the same section of the configuration (if you have the option).
That should already help a lot with the links not working.
Normally, it's really easy to setup. You don't have to activate any menu or module.
You just keep what is preselected in the install wizard at the end of the installation process and validate. When you do, you get the modules and menus pre configured and pre enabled for you and you can just create your products and categories.

That does not help in any way nor is it a propper solution to my problem.

The link was broken before and not after i overinstalled a new version.

I had the links working in the situation and after i changed some stuff (like rows annd stuff of the display) the free stuff was gone.
after deleteing all (with hope the links where broken somehow) NO Producr shows up anymore.

I usesd a default setup thats build into a expensive template so i never saw ANY WIZARD.

Lastly i never changed the cannocial stuff and its turned of by the way.

You provide answers here for this WHOLE Thread Nicolas, which wont fit the problem or a propper support in my eyes.
I provided a userlogin for you here, you deleted it aftrer 20 Minutes and then you left this until you answered this.

Its a bad broken shop stuff thats deeper broken than just tellinng me to keep the installstuff (what i did) and i believe it turns out that the silly setup from the commercial template now screwed up the hole thing. This means after your post with the new version of Hikashop it forced me to install the actual one which now has busted my whole setup annd destroyed work from weeks.

Also i guess i am close to have the shop removed and clean my database to make sure a fresh install brings back the functions.

How can you support like that? The Users are helpless and have no clue and you answer with stuff you a)already know and b) that in my case did not help in any way, it just pointed me in some directions.
In my Testlab i set up yesterday all is working and there i got a wizard after install.

THIS IS A THING where you need to look inside the situation and maybe help me destroy all the broken stuff and save my work here.

With Virtue Mart i run this in some hours, with HikaShop (which seem better all the way!!!) i take weeks, cannot get rid of basic issues and i get a crappy support...

I would appreciate if someone of your team truly can havbe a look since i bought hikashop with my template and i have to deal with the setup they did now. PLEASE HELP me fix this...
Its not a turned off checkbox etc, i believe theres something running mad here.

Hi,

Yes, we moved that private information in a support tickets instead of letting it in public access and visible by web crawlers.

I usesd a default setup thats build into a expensive template so i never saw ANY WIZARD.

If your template installed HikaShop and skip the wizard, it's not our fault...
We are just developing our components, we are not template creator and we can't be responsible of what the template are doing or what they override.
But it is possible to call the wizard manually in the backend ; it is possible to find that information thanks to a little search
www.hikashop.com/forum/install-update/87...ll-error.html#208365

I would appreciate if someone of your team truly can havbe a look since i bought hikashop with my template

No, you're using HikaShop starter which is the free version of HikaShop ; you bought a template, not a commercial version of HikaShop.
We are helping everybody in the forum but, as you can understand, users with commercial version of HikaShop have a "deeper" support. I'm not telling you to buy HikaShop to have some support, I'm just explaining you that your current complaint is right.

How can you support like that? The Users are helpless

Once again, that's not right and unfounded ; we have really good feedback for all the work we are doing in the support.

Now regarding your website, I have to admit that I don't understand the final result.
I think that your template got a lot of overrides, because the product page is quite empty.

After that, your category listing menu (ID 124) is configured to display a product listing.
It would be quite better to re-set it as a category listing and attach a product listing module to it (with the synchonize setting).
Just like explained in our tutorial page : www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...html#categories_menu

Hello Jerome and Team,

you understand some stuff wrong, i guess my fault.
first of all i never meant i bought the HikaShop...Only a template with Hikashop set up (the way i didnt need it).

After a lot of try and fail i tested all with normal Templates and a clean Hkashop on joomla.
All i did works, so it should work on the site too BUT heres the difference.

You cannot support that as i see now because the Template screws up everything everywhere not only in HikaShop.
I am close to figure out how i still can work with it without loosing the whole project and i brought back a basic shop with some testporducts which all work now.

in the testlab i did all your different approaches for displaying to understand the way its working.
Back in the desired template its a pain to set all up because the whole template seems to get tweaked all the way to display stuff normal templates display easy

I thought i could trick it with setting a different template to the shop page. Guess what:
In my testlab this works out of the box with any method, on the template you CANNOT bring other templates into pages...with no method...(menuitem method or template method nor copy templates..)

Overall you can close this thing here please because i see you cannot support your shopsystem propper in a template that does the issues.

alot of frustration so far but the Hikashop System works, thats clear at this stage...its just dozens of template action...

THANX A LOT for your patience

Hi,

Sorry for that. We do our best to support everyone but if the template messes thing with the way it provides you HikaShop, we're helpless. As I said, when you install HikaShop on a normal Joomla website, you get a wizard which help you setup HikaShop properly and pre configure the menus and modules for you.
Without that, you're left with what the template developer did and so it can indeed be quite complex, especially that we suppose that by default you went through the install wizard after the install.
I hope your experience will be better from now on.
