Categories Issue

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.5.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.5

Hello Guys! Hope everyone is doing great!

I have encountered an issue with the categories a few hours ago and i can't seem to find a solution to it :huh:

1. The categories list is showing me an error "no subcategories" even thought there is subs in that category. (screenshot attached)

2. The categories page on the back end looks very strange. I think both of these issues are connected to each other. The categories side bar shows that categories such as "audio & cameras" and "coupons" have no subcategories even though they do have them. For some reason the subcategories are at the bottom of that list not attached to the parent category. Weird thing is that the subcategory is connected to the parent category in the options.


Hope you can help me out on this one.

Hi,

1. Your two screenshots indicate that there is no categories under the category "audio & camera" ; so that is logical that the front-end indicate the same thing that the backend.
So there is no actual proof that the category "audio & camera" have subcategories.

2. You should re-download HikaShop 2.5.0 in order to be sure to have latest patches.
Then you should click on the button "rebuild" in your backend category listing toolbar.
If the issue persist ; you should take a look at these categories in order to be sure that they are right configured ; with the right category type and the right parent.

Hello,

I have installed the Hikashop 2.5.0 and nothing changed, the categories table is still messed up. The parent categories are correct i have checked everything. And when i press rebuild category it doesn't help either. What can i do to fix it?

Hi,

We will need concrete information in order to understand the issue.
I guess that the easier will be to provide us an access to your backend so we will be able to see the data directly.

Hi,

Thanks for the acccess but that account does not have any advanced right in HikaShop.
I can't edit any category (or see the category details) or display the configurations.

Your categories are now fine.
I just edit directly the "sports subscription" and "vendor category" in order to give them a right parent category ; like I was telling you before :
