-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.3
-- PHP version -- : 5.3.28

Hello,

I recently completed an import of a Virtuemart 1.1.9 shopping cart into HikaShop 2.3.5 on Joomla 1.5, then migrated that data into HikaShop 2.5.0 on Joomla 3.4.3. The products and categories were imported into HikaShop 2.3.5, but the prices are all incorrect. After migrating that data to HikaShop 2.5.0 and Joomla 3.4.3, all of the thumbnail image links have been removed. Any ideas on why the import failed to work correctly on HikaShop 2.3.5 and why the thumbnail images were removed when migrating to HikaShop 2.5.0?

Hi,

Are you sure that you have copied the content of your HikaShop image upload folder ?
www.hikashop.com/support/support/documen...nfig.html#main_files

About the price issue ; we will need more information to understand the nature of the problem.

Hello,

The images have been copied into the images/com_hikashop/upload/thumbnails/100x100f folder to match the Joomla 1.5 website folder structure. Are the thumbnails and 100x100f folders not needed on the Joomla 3.4 version of the website?

The difference in prices is quite large. On the Joomla 1.5 version of the website running Virtuemart 1.1.9, the price for a product called Abdominal Emergencies - EMT is $305.86. On the same website in HikaShop 2.3.5, the price for the same product is $281.22. The difference in prices is $24.64. Any ideas on why there is such a discrepancy?

Hi,

It's in the folder images/com_hikashop/upload/ that the images should be copied. The system will generate the thumbnails in the images/com_hikashop/upload/thumbnails/100x100f folder automatically when needed out of the images in images/com_hikashop/upload/

Wouldn't the difference on the prices comes from the taxes ?
Could it be that 281.22 is the price without taxes and 305.86 the price with taxes ?
In that case, it's just a matter of configuring the "show taxed prices" of your HikaShop configuration/products listing menu/module to display the prices with taxes.

Hello,

Thank you for the tips on placing the product images in the correct folder. This issue has been resolved.

The products sold on the website are tax free, so this would not affect the prices. Any ideas?

Hi,

Then maybe you have some discounts on your products (menu Orders>Discounts) ?
Are the prices correct when you edit the products in the backend ?
Could you do some screenshot of the settings of the product page for a specific product and a link to the result page on the frontend on your website so that we could have a better idea of the situation ?

Hello,

There are currently no discounts in use on the website.

The prices are incorrect in the administrator panel and on the front end of the website. I have included two screenshots, one of a product in the administrator panel and another of the same product on the front end of the website. Both are showing the same price.

Hello,

I am wondering if the screenshots I posted were helpful and if you had any idea why this is happening.

Hi,

Unfortunately, the screenshot show that the product price is configured to be "281.22" ; so the price display in the front-end is logical regarding the product configuration in the backend.
It is the first time that I see import issue for the product prices ; so I'm wondering from where that "281.22" information is coming from and how VM was processing the price before.

Do you still have an access to your VM database ?
Maybe you can take a look at the content of the table "vm_product_price" for that product.

Hello,

I have compared the original Joomla 1.5 database with Virtuemart to the Joomla 3 database with HikaShop and the prices match in the databases, but for some reason in the Virtuemart admin interface, the prices are increased. I guess I will have to review the Virtuemart settings to see what may be causing the increase.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.
If you find what change the price, it will be more than helpful ; and we could also see how import it into HikaShop.
Regarding the price differences, it does not look like a simple percentage. Maybe something done by a plugin ?
